The WA College of Agriculture is unique in that it offers accredited training alongside secondary education. As well as Certificates in Agriculture, the college offers a variety of accredited short courses for study each year.

Certificate II in Agriculture

Over the course of the two years students achieve a variety of competencies in all aspects of practical farm work which result in the attainment of this nationally recognised qualification.

First Aid

An accredited First Aid course is provided for all students

Shearing Short Course

Year 11 students gain experience in wool handling.

In year 12 students complete the shearing short course with an accredited training team.

Farm Safety Certificate

Year 11 students complete a farm safety course certified by Farm Safe

Driver Training

Students begin driver training in their first week at the college. The college has its own driver training vehicle and Mr Garth Roberts is a qualified driving instructor. There are two stages of licensing. In year 11 they gain a farm license to operate farm vehicles within the property. When they reach the age to have a learner's permit, students begin driver training outside the confines of the farm. Mr Roberts prepares all students for their A class driving test which is arranged by the college.

Chemical Users Certificate

All students have the opportunity of completing the "Using Chemicals Safely" course.

Bushfire Control

A bushfire control certificate is usually available through the college.
