Uniform and Requirements

The student uniform is practical and relevant to the agricultural industry. It is important that students wear and are proud of their uniform. You will note that the clothing list specifies brown dress boots as the required footwear. Please ensure that students begin the college year with the appropriate uniform including brown dress boots which are different to work boots. All college uniform items listed in the section below can be purchased through numerous local suppliers, the following being just a few :

Please note individual suppliers may have specials or incentives unique to their business.

Class Uniform

  • 2 bone moleskin trousers RM Williams, Hard Yakka or Rough Rider (must be pre-shrunk)
  • 2 or 3 white singlets to wear underneath college shirt in winter (optional) - not t-shirts
  • 1 or 2 bone dress shorts for summer-optional
  • 1 brown dress belt
  • 1 pair brown dress boots RM Williams, Rossi or Blundstone
  • 5 pairs casual socks navy blue
  • 2 Gloweave blue dress shirts, short or long sleeved. Only available from Local Heroes, Denmark, Duggins, Mt Barker, or Baref

Please also note without exception that items marked below can only be purchased from Barefoot Clothing Manufacturer. This is to ensure the colour and style are consistent across our entire student body. Orders need to be made to Barefoot on enrolment day.

An additional charge of $50 for blazer hire for 2 years. Loss or damage of the blazer will require replacement. Blazer cost is $125.

Dress is one of the assessment areas while on farm and also as part of Workplace Learning assessment . It is important that students have the following attire for Farm and DT areas. 
It is compulsory that shirts remain tucked in whilst in class and on farm.

Farm Uniform

  • 2 x navy blue cotton drill work pants-Yakka or King Gee (not jeans). Please wash before taking them up.
  • 1 or 2 navy blue cotton drill shorts-Yakka or King Gee for summer
  • 2 or 3 navy blue work singlets (optional)
  • 2 navy blue work singlets (optional)
  • 2 navy blue cotton drill - Yakka or King Gee shirts (1 long sleeve shirt is required for sun/skin protection, the other can be short sleeve polo or cotton drill)
  • 2 navy blue work jumpers Inter-knit, must be banded, or windcheaters with collar and ½ zip
  • 1 black work belt
  • 1 pair brown leather work boots - do not have to be steel-capped
  • 5 pairs of blue or black thick work socks (must be worn with farm uniform)
  • 1 pair Wellington boots
  • 1 water proof jacket and pants
  • 1 pair of overalls (can be second hand). These are very handy when doing dairy, workshop and DT as well as keeping warm in winter (optional).

NB The brown felt hat is only required by the students doing the study group ‘Stud Cattle’. This can be obtained in Semester 1.

Sports Uniform

  • 1 blue navy College tracksuit from Barefoot
  • 1 pair sport shoes
  • 1 pair shorts/skirt for females
  • 2 or 3 pairs white sports socks

Names must be:
On collars or shirts, jumpers, t-shirts, jackets, singlets etc.
On the waistband of underwear, trousers, shorts etc.
In one corner of pillow slips, sheets , towels and similar.

NB : If the item doesn’t have a label it will not be washed.

All clothing must be clearly and permanently marked with the student’s name. Eg Bill Jones, not BJ or B Jones. Printed school name tags are required, the large lettering is best. Please sew them on by machine if possible. Iron on nametags are not acceptable (they do not stay on).
