Enrolments at agricultural colleges are in high demand. This is particularly so at our College.   As a public school, with amazing agricultural resources, it is vital that we enrol students whose pathways are agriculturally orientated. The types of pathways available in agriculture are diverse and post-school options include employment, training and or further study.

Please take the time to explore our webpage and read our prospectus before applying.  If you have any questions please email or call the College.

Due to high demand,  the WA College of Agriculture – Denmark has a limited number of places in both the education program and for residential accommodation. There is a selection process for both residential and day students wishing to enrol.

The following information outlines the process for enrolment and the basis for decisions on student selection.

The Application Process

  1. Parents and carers complete the Senior Secondary Application for Enrolment form and submit it along with all other required documents including the student’s most recent semester report.
  2. The College leadership team will review applications and conduct an initial assessment.
  3. Prospective student interviews will be offered to students who are deemed to have met this initial assessment. Prospective students who have not yet met this criteria will not be offered an interview at this stage.
  4. An interview will be conducted either face-to-face or online.
  5. Successful applicants will be offered a position.

Please send all enrolment documentation to: denmark.wacoa@education.wa.edu.au

Criteria

During the application and interview stage, the child’s interest in agriculture, trades and certificates, and their capacity to comply with our Code of Conduct requirements will be assessed. Students applying for a residential place will be assessed on their suitability for the residential program.

Placement Offer

Year 10:
The College will engage in three rounds of interviews and offers for placement will be made during the year occurring in week 2 of Terms 2, 3 and 4. Offers are made, taking into account the number of boarding and day student places available, as well as the availability of places in selected education pathways. Students without offers, remain on hold for later interview rounds and selections. Students who are initially unsuccessful are encouraged to provide an improved school report or additional documentation to support their application. Families will be communicated to in writing at each stage of the process.

Year 11:
It is anticipated that there will be very limited availability for new Year 11 places in 2023. Year 11 applications will be reviewed in early Term 3 and advice provided to families about the outcome. Please provide a copy of your child’s 2022, Semester 1 report to include with their application.

Offers:
Round 1 offers: early Term 2
Round 2 offers: early Term 3
Final offers: Term 4
