Changes to school reports:

The Department of Education has introduced consistent reporting requirements for all schools, for Pre-primary to Year 10 students. These changes are designed to make reports meaningful and easier to understand and consistent across all public schools. These changes are now in effect, as you will see in the Semester 1 reports at the end of Term 2.

End of semester reports will continue to highlight your child’s strengths and achievements. They will include a clear summary of your child’s learning; an example is provided below.

Year 10 reports will provide:

·         a grade for each learning area studied

·         information on your child’s attitude, behaviour and effort for each learning area

·         an overall teacher comment about your child’s progress and achievement.

.  There are no changes to Year 11 and 12 reports.

We will continue to offer opportunities to meet and talk with your child’s teacher. Please be assured that, if it is identified that there is an issue with your child’s progress and achievement, you will be informed in a timely manner.

I thank you for supporting our school.

Principal
