Denmark Ag Students Shine at the 2026 Perth Royal Show
WA College of Agriculture – Denmark has celebrated an outstanding week at the 2026 Perth Royal Show, with students achieving excellent results across the Farm Skills, sheep and cattle competitions.
The highlight of the week came from our Year 12 team, who were crowned 2026 Farm Skills Competition champions.
The Farm Skills Competition challenged students to put their practical farming knowledge, teamwork and skills to the test across a range of activities, including livestock handling and assessment, machinery operation, fencing, welding and other practical agricultural tasks. The Denmark team demonstrated the skills and knowledge developed through their time at the College to take out the overall competition.
Further success came in the Led Steer Competition, where Denmark students had their steers selected amongst some of the best cattle in the competition.
The College achieved:
Champion – Medium Weight
Reserve Champion – Extra Heavy
At the sheep shed, Denmark students also achieved an excellent result in the AWI Wether Challenge, being awarded Champion Handlers.
The Perth Royal Show provides students with a valuable opportunity to put their agricultural skills into practice, compete alongside other agricultural colleges, farms schools and industry showcasing the knowledge and experience they have developed throughout their time at Denmark Ag.
Congratulations to all students who participated in the Perth Royal Show. Every student did a fantastic job and represented WA College of Agriculture – Denmark with pride.

It was a busy few days for our Sheep and Cattle Clubs, but a highly successful week and one the College community can be very proud of.
